On Tuesday, March 3, I joined County Executive Maggie Brooks and our other project partners, Robert Healy of LaBella Associates and John DiMarco II of DiMarco Constructors, at a news conference to update the community on MCC’s new downtown campus.
The County announced that $6 million in additional funding has been secured for the project. The funds include a $1.6 million grant through the Regional Economic Development Council for a green roof on the campus and a requested $1.4 million grant from the MCC Association. Those funds will be matched by SUNY, bringing the total to $6 million.
We are extremely grateful for the increased funding, which will help us create the transformative campus our students deserve.
As always, updates on the new downtown campus can be found at https://www.monroecc.edu/downtown.
