President's Wednesday Message

Before the Thanksgiving holiday, Internal Auditor Dolores Pasto-Ziobro reminded us of the College’s EthicsPoint program. Thank you, Dolores, for raising awareness of the existence of this important resource.

As Dolores said in her Tribune announcement, the MCC Ethics Hotline is a confidential reporting system that enables college employees and associates to confidentially report activities that may involve unethical, illegal, or inappropriate activities in violation of MCC’s policies, procedures, contractual obligations or the law. Each one of us has a responsibility to ensure that our own actions are of the highest ethical standard; we also have a responsibility to report questionable behavior to an appropriate supervisor, college leader or via the Ethics Hotline. Our credibility as an institution rests with each one of us.

If you have a concern about behavior you have witnessed or heard about, I encourage you to call (877) 237-8216 or visit
https://www.monroecc.ethicspoint.com to file a completely confidential report. MCC uses an independent provider, EthicsPoint (https://www.ethicspoint.com), to provide the reporting tool.

Thank you to those who utilized the MCC Ethics Hotline during the past 18 months. If you file a report, we encourage you to check the status of your report periodically. The college investigates all reports and may need additional information to facilitate a complete review.

If you would like to learn more about the MCC Ethics Hotline, please contact Dolores Pasto-Ziobro (Internal Audit) at <
mailto:dpasto@monroecc.edu> or 292-2158.

If you have ideas about ways to maintain a positive and ethical organizational culture throughout MCC, please share your ideas on the
President’s Wednesday Message blog.
