Zoom Version 5 - update by May 30th

Zoom released version 5 in May. Beginning May 30, 2020, Zoom will force the upgrade to clients on older versions when trying to join meetings. To avoid disruption, you should apply the update as soon as possible. If administrative rights are required on an MCC laptop, enter a ticket in the myMCC Technology Help tab for assistance from the Technology Support Desk team.

The Zoom Microsoft Outlook plug-in allows you to schedule Zoom meetings, as well as make existing meeting events Zoom meetings and start instant Zoom meetings. If you do not have the plug-in installed, you can get the software from Software Center on your MCC desktop. As long as you access the program from Software Center, you will have the appropriate permissions for the software to install.

Start Menu > Microsoft System Center > Software Center

Zoom has detailed information on scheduling a meeting, making an existing meeting a zoom meeting, or what to do if your zoom icon goes missing in Outlook. Remember to go to Software Center on your MCC desktop to install the plug-in.
