Reminder! Open Enrollment ends November 19th

MCC's Open Enrollment ends tomorrow, Friday November 19th. While there are no changes to the medical plans offered by the College, rates have increased for 2022.  We encourage you to review the 2022 rates and the Excellus Medical Comparison grid.

Here’s what you need to know:

Deadline for all forms is November 19, 2021

Where to Find Information & Forms:  Monroe Community College’s Employee Benefits Information Hub contains all informational materials, Excellus enrollment form, and Benefit Resource, Inc. (BRI) FSA 2022 election link and information.  You may access the Hub:

By going to myMCC under Employee Essentials/Human Resources channel box – red Open Enrollment icon.

Or

Using the link below will allow you to access MCC’s Employee Benefits Information Hub without MCC login credentials.  This provides ease of access to the Open Enrollment information, giving you the opportunity to review the information with those at home.

If you do not have the capability to print or complete an enrollment form electronically, please contact Human Resources at 292-2048 or via email at hr@monroecc.edu for assistance.

What do You Need to do?

Medical:

  • If you do not wish to make a change in your current coverage, you do not need to do anything.  Your current coverage will roll into 2022.
  • If you wish to make a change, complete the Excellus enrollment form and submit the completed paper form to the Human Resources Office by Friday, November 19th.

Dental:

There are no changes to the current dental plans or rates.  If you are enrolled in dental coverage, your current coverage will automatically roll into 2022.  If you are not enrolled or wish to add an eligible dependent, complete the Excellus enrollment form and submit the completed paper form to the Human Resources Office by Friday, November 19th.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA):

If you wish to have a flexible spending account (FSA) for 2022, you must enroll using the online enrollment link found on MCC’s Employee Benefits Information Hub

FSA elections do not roll from one year to the next; you must enroll and make your election each and every year.  NO paper enrollments will be accepted.

Long-Term Disability & Life:

There are no Open Enrollment options being offered this year.  No action is necessary.

Voluntary Retirement Savings (403b and/or NYS Deferred Compensation 457) elections:

Historically, voluntary retirement savings elections were tied to Open Enrollment and permitted once annually.  Several years ago, paper forms were eliminated and employees were given the ability to manage their payroll deduction as often as they wished throughout the year.  There is no action necessary during Open Enrollment for your 2022 election.  Your current payroll deduction will roll into 2022.
