AAWCC-MCC Chapter Dedicates Tree on Campus

Yesterday, members and colleagues dedicated a tree in honor of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges-MCC Chapter's 25th anniversary and for being named the top chapter in the U.S.

Located adjacent to the Robin and Tim Wentworth Arts Building, the tree is a visible tribute to current and past AAWCC-MCC Chapter members who inspire and support our students, colleagues, and the Greater Rochester community through volunteerism and service.

Thanks to chapter president Brigitte Martineau (Mathematics) for her exceptional leadership and to the chapter's current 98 members for all they do to inspire and support students, colleagues, our community and especially each other. Kudos also to Greg Nickason (Facilities), Mike Wichtowski (Facilities) & Darwin Snow (Applied Technologies) who helped create this special moment. Greg and Mike lent their expertise to identify and plant the white fringe tree; Darwin designed and produced the exquisite plaque.

Photos from the event are attached.
