<p>Chris Cimini is the chief financial officer of Buckingham Properties, a real estate development and property management company based in Rochester. With more than 12 years of accounting experience, Chris is a certified public accountant, a certified valuation analyst, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs. He holds a bachelor of science degree from Nazareth College's School of Management. Chris serves on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester and Locust Hill Country Club.</p>
<p>Pete Giovenco is president and chief executive officer of Bergmann Associates, a market leader in architecture, engineering and planning across the Northeast, Midwest and Atlantic regions of the United States. He earned a master of business administration-accounting and finance degree and a bachelor of technology degree in civil engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, and an associate degree in civil technology from MCC. Pete serves on the boards of St. John's Home and Rochester Downtown Development Corporation, and as chair of RIT's Saunders College of Business Dean's Advisory Council.</p>
<p>Lisa Paulis is a physician at Elizabeth Wende Breast Care, LLC, a leader in breast imaging, breast cancer intervention and research. She earned degrees from the Siena College/Albany Medical School's combined medical program which focuses on humanitarian service in addition to the traditional medical curriculum. Lisa is a member of the American Board of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Society of Breast Imaging and the Monroe County Medical Society. She supports the Young Women's College Prep Charter School of Rochester and the MCC Foundation's STAR Power Women's Giving Initiative that provides scholarship support for single parents who are pursing higher education at MCC.</p>
<p>Deborah Stamps is system vice president, Quality, Safety and Innovation, for Rochester Regional Health. Her experience includes designing and delivering new programs and initiatives for both the health care community and the community-at-large. She holds numerous degrees, including a doctorate of executive leadership from St. John Fisher College, an executive MBA and an MBA in Executive Nurse Leadership from RIT, and an associate in applied science degree in nursing from MCC. She gives back to our community through her support of nonprofit agencies and community initiatives, including the Excellus Advanced Care Planning Committee for African Americans and Hispanics, the American Red Cross, and the March of Dimes. She was inducted into the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame in 2011.</p>
<p>Michael Weed is president of Graywood Companies, Inc., a corporation with approximately 60 business units including printing, marketing, heat treating services, pharmaceuticals, land development, commercial and residential construction and property management. He earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration, professional studies from SUNY Empire State and also attended MCC. He serves on the boards of the Rochester Police Department Foundation, the Summers Foundation and the MCC Precision Machining Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus.</p>
<p>Laurie Zaucha is vice president, Human Resources and Organizational Development, for Paychex, a leading provider of integrated human capital management solutions for payroll, human resources, retirement, and insurance services. She is responsible for all aspects of human resources, organizational development, and the company's training department. Laurie holds a master's degree in management from Purdue University and a bachelor of science degree in computer information technology from Bentley College. She co-chairs the advisory board for the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County, serves on United Way of Greater Rochester's Board of Directors, and is the vice chair of Nazareth College's Human Resources Advisory Council.</p>

Business & Community Leaders Appointed to MCC Foundation Board

Please join in welcoming Chris Cimini, Pietro "Pete" Giovenco '86, Lisa Paulis, M.D., Deborah Stamps, Ed.D., MBA, MS, RN, GNP, NE-BC '97, Michael Weed and Laurie Zaucha to the Monroe Community College Foundation Board of Directors. As directors, they will help lead the Foundation's efforts to advance academic achievement, innovation and excellence at MCC. Their three-year terms began on September 1.
