Transportation Fee Utilization During Distance Learning Periods

Because MCC transportation fees are directed to external service providers at the start of the semester, the College is unable to issue transportation fee refunds to students. MCC will not be reimbursed by these service providers despite our transition to distance learning.

MCC's transportation fee is directed to Monroe County and the Rochester-Genesee Regional Transit Authority (RTA) for campus properties and U-Pass services respectively. Twenty percent of the County's portion is held at the College for administrative and maintenance purposes.

The transportation fee is nonrefundable. There are no provisions for crediting back a portion of the transportation fee to students once the semester has begun. Parking spaces and transit services continue to be available.

If you have further questions, please contact MCC Administrative Services at (585) 292-2181.
