A Talk on the Little Rock Crisis of 1957

In 1957 nine African-American students were sent to Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. They were the first African-Americans to attend this all white school. The protest and resistance they faced is one of the seminal events of the Civil Rights Movement in America.

 

History Professor, Mark Sample, will tell the story of the people & the events surrounding this important part of American history.

This talk will be held on Wednesday February 24. Noon - 1:00.
