TCC: Announcing the 2021 Teaching & Learning Conference!

Join us remotely on Friday, June 4, 2021, 8:45-3:00, for the annual Teaching & Learning Conference, which marks the end of Professional Development Week.

This year's conference, based on our theme of Committing to Equity-Minded Pedagogy, is a combination of morning presentations and afternoon workshops, peppered with lots of short breaks. It's intended as a day to hear from colleagues about their work, and to provide you with some frameworks for looking at your own work (and the work you do with students) through an equity lens.

Part of the program includes another Safe Zone training, for any MCC employee who was unable to attend the one on April 2. This is the only session that is concurrent with the other workshops, taking place from 1:00-3:00.

In addition to the synchronous sessions, there will be on-demand, asynchronous items on our Blackboard portal for you to read, watch, and engage with.

Registration is slightly different this year than in past years, as you will register for each session you want to attend instead of all at once. This allows you to join us for all (we hope!) or some. With each registration, you will receive a Zoom link (unique for you) for that session, which you will use to access it on June 4.

You can access the session descriptions and links to register for them in three ways: the 2021 Teaching & Learning Conference site, the Conference section on the TCC's Blackboard page, and through the attached flyer.

On June 4, the Blackboard page will also contain a "door" into the Virtual Lunch Room as well as the asynchronous parts mentioned above.

The Teaching and Creativity Center looks forward to a day of listening, learning, reflecting, and collaborating among colleagues.

Please register for your sessions by June 2. If you are requesting ASL interpreters, there is a 10-day advance notice.
