Turn off your computer, part 2

Facilities will shut down campus power on December 30 for repairs, so please turn off your office computer and any other technology before you leave for the holiday break. Abrupt loss of electricity or unexpected fluctuations could harm PC's, many of which have just been newly replaced.

Note that while your office PC is turned off, you will not have access to Remote Desktop. However, other methods to access systems that do not depend on your PC, such as VPN or web access should still work.

Access to myMCC, Banner and Blackboard is available through www.monroecc.edu or directly at https://my.monroecc.edu

Current E-mail clients (Outlook, iPhone, Android etc.) securely connect without requiring a VPN connection. You may also securely access your MCC E-mail by going to https://mymail.monroecc.edu

M: Drive files can be accessed without using a VPN connection through the Acronis secure web portal or app for portable devices. Acronis can be accessed by going to https://acronis.monroecc.edu/signin

Please note that Technology Support is not available during the break.

Note: VPN is a Virtual Private Network, for which MCC uses AnyConnect software.
