The Reverend Penny Crudup '12 to Address 2017 Graduates

MCC Alumni Hall of Fame member the Reverend Penny Crudup '12 will deliver the Message to the Graduates at MCC's Commencement, Saturday morning, June 3, at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial.

A native Rochesterian, Penny is a passionate motivator, dedicated volunteer and a spiritual leader in our community. An Empire State Diversity Honors Scholar, she earned a certificate in leadership development from MCC in 2011, followed by an associate degree in liberal arts-general studies in 2012. Her MCC experience was enriched by her membership in the Alpha Theta Iota Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

In her role as secretary and tenant liaison for Downtown United Presbyterian Church in Rochester, Penny helps facilitate nearly 4,000 events each year. She is also currently pursuing a master of divinity degree at Northeastern Seminary.

In 2012, Penny received the WDKX Inspiring Woman Award. Last year, she was inducted into the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame. She gives back to MCC and inspires current students as a frequent guest speaker on campus as a member of the MCC Foundation's STAR Power Women's Giving Initiative committee.

MCC celebrates the success of the Class of 2017 and looks forward to the inspiring words of the Rev. Penny Crudup, our featured Commencement speaker.
