5K Team Raises Funds for the Owen Schwartz Memorial Scholarship

Owen's Red Racers is a team of family, friends and students walking or running in the 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships on Saturday, October 5, in support of the Owen Schwartz Memorial Scholarship. MCC faculty and staff are participating in the 5K to support the scholarship fund including the offices in Student Services.

Led by team captain, Mark Schwartz, 5K co-chair John Delate and Vice President Holmes, the Owen Red Racers team raised $7,300 last year. To help the team reach its goal this year, Dr. Holmes has issued a challenge, he will match dollar-for-dollar every contribution made to the Owen's Red Racers team up to $1,500. Whether you register for the Owen's Red Racers team or make a donation, your gift will go twice as far.
