Elree Ryles, Building Services Retiree

The MCC family was saddened to hear of Elree Ryles' passing on April 14, 2022. Mr. Ryles would have turned 80 years of age in July.

After working for local construction companies, Mr. Ryles brought his skills and experience to MCC's Housekeeping (Building Services) Department in 1982. Colleagues appreciated his dependability and willingness to serve as an acting foreman when there were vacancies at the College. He took pride in his work and enjoyed working with others. He retired from MCC in 2004 after a 22-year career as a heavey laborer.

In 2004, MCC President Emeritus R. Thomas Flynn recognized Mr. Ryles with the President's Award for his outstanding service to the College.

According to his obituary on the Memories Funeral Home website, friends and visitors will be welcomed to pay their respects beginning at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, May 5, followed by a funeral service at noon at Peace Baptist Church, 6 Oregon St., Rochester.

We are grateful for Mr. Ryles' service and friendship. He will be missed.
