MCC Instructor of Hospitality Stuart Slutsky's participation in Deaf Awareness Week was featured in the December/January issue of "Deaf Rochester News." He presented a cooking demonstration during Deaf Awareness Week.
Professor Emerita of Nursing Suzanne McKim had her essay, "The Most Important Thing That We Can Offer is Ourselves," published in the same issue. In the essay, Suzanne reflects on her new experience as a Compeer volunteer with the deaf and hard of hearing community. Suzanne has learned sign language in retirement.
