Are community colleges working effectively?” That was the question posed by Learning Matters, a non-profit media production company affiliated with PBS that encourages and enriches public dialogue about education, youth and families. The question was in response to a recent PBS report that examined the impact of remedial education programs on students and higher education.
President Anne Kress was among the community college experts to recently respond to the question with a commentary entitled, “It’s not the 10 percent you do see; it’s the 90 percent you don’t.”
