All Summer Classes to be Either Online or Remotely Offered

All of MCC's courses will be offered through a distance learning format this summer. This will include courses offered fully online through MCC's Blackboard learning management system, as well as courses offered remotely using Blackboard, Zoom, and other distance learning options. We will continue to build on supports for faculty and students to promote academic success.

  • Fully online classes (SLN) meet asynchronously, where students and the faculty member can log in at different times throughout the week to complete and assess assignments.
  • Remote classes (RMT) typically have some synchronous activities, meaning students will participate in lecture and group activities though remote learning software such as Zoom with their instructor and classmates at specific times. These meetings will occur within the timeframes of the scheduled class meetings to allow for as much participation as possible. Faculty will provide details about the specific meeting times prior to the course start and will include information on meeting times, methods of instruction, and assessment in the course information sheets.

Please see your dean or department chairperson for more information.
