MCC-Led Job-Training Project Noted in Media Coverage
The local media interviewed President Kress and mentioned the MCC-led Multiple Pathways to Middle Skills Jobs initiative in their news coverage Wednesday evening and Thursday morning about the $96.2 million in state funds awarded to the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council. About $600,000 will support the project to provide hands-on training in health care, advanced manufacturing and skilled trades to at-risk high school students and displaced workers in an effort to fulfill the region’s critical need for middle-skill workers.
