AAWCC-MCC Chapter - 2019 Chapter of the Year Award

I am proud to share with you that the national American Association for Women in Community Colleges Board of Directors has recognized our AAWCC-MCC Chapter as the 2019 Chapter of the Year! In their own words, "We commend Monroe Community College's AAWCC Chapter for 25 years of changing lives, as well as your robust chapter and community engagement."

I personally thank each and every one of you who have supported us along the way, all of our Chapter members, our community, and all of MCC students. This is definitely a team effort!

I would also like to congratulate two of our members -- Rebecca Griffin (Hospitality Management) and Meryll Pentz (Admissions) -- who will receive AAWCC's "Under 40" award in April. This award recognizes outstanding female leaders under the age of 40 working at a community college. If you see them on campus, take a moment to personally congratulate them on this very special accomplishment.
