Patrol Staff Chuck DiSalvo's Busy Summer

As an integral part of Officer Chuck DiSalvo's post-graduate research in criminal justice, Officer DiSalvo visited NYPD's 18th precinct, commonly referred to as Midtown North, in midtown Manhattan. Midtown North is located in the heart of the tourist district, which includes Times Square. During his visit he studied street crime, graffiti crime, and crime prevention methods and techniques currently being developed, as well as those currently utilized by the NYPD. In addition, Officer DiSalvo was introduced to the crime scene and criminal intelligence units who are charged with evidence collection and information gathering duties specific to street-level criminal activities.  We will be putting his newly acquired knowledge to work at MCC to benefit our campus efforts.
