Passing of Salvador Anchondo

I am saddened to announce that Salvador Anchondo, reference and collaborative learning librarian at the Damon City Campus, passed away on December 16, 2004. Sal was a very popular and adept librarian and will be sorely missed. He was a member of MCC's Diversity Council, served as a marshall at commencement and was a reading partner to three students for the "Kindred" project.

Sal held a master's of library and information science degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's of English and American literature from the University of Texas at El Paso. He was certified as a public librarian in NYS and was working on a second master's degree at RIT.

As arrangements are clarified we will inform the college.
