Agriculture has a growing presence in MCC curriculum

“Agriculture program blossoming at MCC,” an article by James Goodman on MCC’s Agriculture and Life Sciences Institute, was published in the June 5 Democrat and Chronicle.

The article highlights MCC’s renovated greenhouse and how 850 students enrolled in 11 courses are learning about agriculture. The article also talks about the launch of a week-long Agriculture Summer Camp for Kids in July.

Within the article, MCC Senior Agricultural Specialist Bob King, Ph.D. is quoted as saying, “People are more and more concerned about sustainability and how to account for their carbon footprint. And what better way to do (that) than through agriculture?”
