Social Media Update

Monroe Community College’s social media channels have recently seen a marked increase in reach and engagement. Events like Commencement and Admitted Student Day are perfect ways to gather content and tell the story of what life at MCC is really like.

The numbers listed below are organic, meaning the posts were not monetized for placement or to increase viewership.  As with all healthy social accounts we are interested in follower increase as well as post engagement (liking, viewing, and commenting). The power of a strong social media campaign, as part of the college's overall marketing plan, is evidenced in the analytics.

Commencement:

  • Instagram: Behind the scenes reel posted late on the night of commencement had 10,300 views and 399 likes(a record breaker)
  • Facebook total reach 10,387 accounts with 1,071 engagements.

Admitted Student Day:

  • Facebook total reach of 8,167 people and 1,065 engagements.
  • Instagram: 58 new followers
  • TikTok: 36 new followers

Apply/Residence Halls:

  • An out-take from a video we are producing was repurposed as an Instagram Reel and garnered 3,354 views and 113 likes in a little over a day.
