Call for Volunteers: Literacy Volunteers Brain Game

MCC is excited to once again support the Literacy Volunteers of Rochester by forming a team of eight to participate in the Brain Game. The Brain Game is an annual team trivia challenge for Rochester professionals. Literacy Volunteers of Rochester, Inc. is Rochester's community leader in the cause of adult literacy. They provide tutoring and classroom instruction in reading, English language, and math. Please see https://literacyrochester.org/ for more information.

The 2018 Brain Game will take place on Thursday, October 25, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Downtown, 70 State Street. Last year, the MCC team came in fourth place in a field of about 40 teams, besting both St. John Fisher and Nazareth College. MCC did especially well in the Rochester trivia section of the game.

Michael Jacobs, Dean of Arts & Humanities, will be leading the team this year. If you would like to join the team dressed in black and gold to represent MCC and to support Literacy Volunteers, please RSVP to Sue Nupp at snupp@monroecc.edu by Thursday, October 18, 2018.
