A Call for Faculty Mentors

Would you like to serve as a mentor to a new teaching or adjunct faculty member?

Tenured teaching faculty members can serve as a mentor to a new (Fall 2022) full-time teaching faculty member or continuing faculty members not yet tenured, or adjuncts.

We will be matching mentors and new, continuing faculty and adjuncts, based on a brief survey. To indicate your interest in serving as a mentor for 2022-2023, please complete this survey as soon as possible.

We would like to encourage you to please do this, especially if you have not done it before. The last few years have been tough for everyone. It is especially important to welcome new faculty into an everchanging, anxious, environment.

We ask that all prospective mentors complete the survey even if you have served as a mentor in the past. Mentors assigned to a new faculty member will meet their mentees at an opening reception to welcome new faculty to MCC on Tuesday, August 23, Noon - 2:00.  Lunch will be provided. Location to be announced at a later date. This will be an on campus event, not Zoom.

Attendance at the luncheon is strongly encouraged, though not mandatory, due to the fact that this is before our contractual start date.
