Monshipour Speaks on VOA

On Sunday, July 20, 2008, Shahin Monshipour, a part-time faculty member in the Department of Anthropology, Sociology, History and Political Science, appeared on the Persian Language program of Voice of America which is broadcasted live in Iran and also accessible worldwide to millions of Persian speaking audiences. She was a guest speaker on the VOA's Today's Woman. The one-hour program featured a panel of three people who discussed economic anthropology and women of Iran, and issues of socio-economic change during the last three decades after the Islamic revolution.

Following the airing of this program, Monshipour received several invitations from scholars in the US, as well as from Iranian and other international diasporas, to present on this topic and on related issues at various venues.
