MCR Work Honored with National Awards

Congratulations are in order for the Marketing and Community Relations team, which won three awards in the 31st Annual Education Advertising Awards sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report:

*       Gold Award for the Women’s Print Series, a series of recruitment advertisements that highlighted the stories of several outstanding women alumni.

*       Silver Award for MCC’s new website, which was redesigned last year to meet the needs of prospective students.

*       Merit Award for the integrated marketing campaign that promoted enrollment for the spring 2016 semester.  This campaign featured a series of online ads promoting MCC overall, as well as online programs in business, sports management and mathematics.

The Education Advertising Awards program is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country.  This year, over 2,000 entries were received from over 1,000 colleges, universities, and secondary schools from all 50 states and several countries.

Congratulations to all on the Marketing and Community Relations team, including:

*       Debra Davis, director of Marketing and Communications; Phil Osterling,  specialist, Visual/Graphic Design; and Rosanne Rivers, marketing specialist, who created the print series and integrated campaign.

*       Colleen Brennan-Barry, assistant director, Web Communications, and Randy Bowen, associate vice president, Enrollment Management, who led the development and launch of the new website, in partnership with colleagues in the Integration Services area of Computing and Information Technology Services.
