Zoom version upgrade now!

Zoom has a new policy going into effect on November 1, 2021 that will require an upgrade to a version that was released within the last nine months. At this time that would be version 5.5.0 released in January 2021. 

Check and update your version of Zoom now to avoid having to sit through the update on November 1. If you haven’t updated your Zoom client software on your computer recently, you can manually check for updates:

  1. Click the Zoom icon on your computer to open Zoom.
  2. Click on the profile photo or initials in the upper right corner.
  3. Click 'Check for Updates' on the menu that appears. The update will load.

If administrative rights are required on an MCC computer, employees should call Technology Support at 585-292-8324, option 3, M-F from  8:45-4:45 for expedited service. Or you can enter a ticket in the myMCC Technology Help tab for assistance.

For updates to personal devices, users should go to the Apple or Google stores to get the latest version if auto-update is not already enabled or check for updates using the steps outlined above.
