WHEC highlights "A Celebration of Healing and Hope," interviews MCC Alumna Dellenna Harper

On March 24, WHEC highlighted MCC's connection to a community event in the segment, Nazareth hosts 'A Celebration of Healing and Hope'. The event celebrated both Women's History Month and Social Work Month and served as MCC's 2022 Essential Discussion.

The segment included an interview with keynote speaker MCC and Nazareth College alumna Dellenna Harper, author of "God’s Teardrop: My journey of healing from addiction and prostitution."  Ms. Harper spoke to a live and virtual audience during the event.

MCC sponsored the event in partnership with Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Nazareth College, the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County’s annual STAND Against Racism 2022.

Ms. Harper's inspiring story and book were also the subject of a March 18 WXXI Connections interview.
