MCC Awarded $248,792 to Train Young Adult Reentry Students for CTE Careers

PathStone Corporation has selected MCC as one of two state operations subgrantees (New York and Pennsylvania) for a $4.5M Young Adult Reentry Partnership (YARP) grant awarded to PathStone by the US Department of Labor. Each state will operate the program in two communities, for New York the program includes Monroe and Erie Counties.

The objective of this 4-year project is to connect justice-involved young adults with CTE opportunities aligned to careers in growing industries such as information technology, healthcare, and energy. The grant will support the development of educational programs to meet the skills needs of area industries and employers, and foster student success. As part of the project, MCC will also provide student supports such as career guidance, registration assistance, case management and other services to support student retention and completion. More information about the grant can be found at here.
