The Travel Club has decided to raise money for the family of Brandon Polito. He was just four years old when he was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. After he went into remission, he passed away just last year from pneumonia. During the years that he did have cancer his mother lost her job and his father had to take much time off from work. They currently have three kids and are on the verge of losing their house. Although Brandon wanted donated money to go to the Golisano's Children Hospital, we are going to send all proceeds to his parents. We want them to use the money as they wish, to pay for rent, medical expenses, or if they prefer give some or all to the Children's Hospital.
There will be cans set up at the beverage counter in Reflections Restaurant and in the Hospitality Department Main Office (3-155) for you to donate any amount. If you would like to write a check, please make it out to the MCC Travel Club, memo: Brandon Polito. Our collection will start on Friday, February 27th and extend through Monday, April 27th.
