Cierra Putman, reporter with WROC-TV News 8, helped announce MCC’s new Empowering Women program, designed to help Latinas and African-American female students realize their academic goals at MCC.
Teresa Velazquez, president of the Student Events and Governance Association, and adviser Trelawney McKnight were interviewed about the various challenges that some students face and how this program will provide the support the students need to succeed academically and complete their education.
