Math Faculty Speak at National Conference

Three MCC Math faculty were among the presenters at the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC) 33rd Annual Conference in Minneapolis November 1-4. Patricia Kuby spoke on "Just in Time Teaching and Learning." Paul Seeburger gave two presentations on the use of technology in undergraduate mathematics education. Peter Collinge moderated a colloquium for department and division chairs.

Elena Dila attended the AMATYC Conference as a member of the latest group of Project ACCCESS Fellows. Other conference attendees from MCC were Eraj Basnayake, Mark Harris, Jason Mahar, Amanda Malone, and Neeta Primo. We appreciate the availability of Professional Development funds at MCC, generated by limited class size increases, that make travel to professional conferences much more affordable for us than for many of our colleagues at other colleges.
