MCC volleyball player Sarah Kuperus and baseball player Keith Geil were named the MCC Athletes of the Week.
Kuperus, a middle hitter, was named to the All-Tournament team at the Onondaga CC Tourney. She tallied 45 kills and 15 blocks on the tournament as MCC reached the semifinals. For the week, the 6-0 sophomore had 58 kills, 25 blocks and a phenomenal 65.8 hitting percentage.
Geil, a sophomore, had another solid week as the Tribunes swept a pair of games from Mercyhurst North East. He went 2-for-4 in the opener, a 6-0 victory. He followed that up with a hit and two runs scored in a 9-0 win in game two.
