TCC: It's Our 20th Anniversary!

Even though we are still in the midst of a global pandemic, and many faculty are still teaching remotely or hybrid, we cannot lose the opportunity to celebrate the Teaching and Creativity Center's 20th anniversary.

Some institutional memory about the TCC:

  • In Fall 2001, Professors Cathryn Smith and Ellen Baker founded the Teaching & Creativity Center to improve teaching effectiveness by providing professional development for MCC teaching faculty.
  • Initially, a small group of professors worked together to provide these opportunities and organize programming.
  • The first TCC room was on the top floor of the library on the Brighton campus.
  • We got our first full time coordinator, Jon Iuzzini, in 2011!

In the spirit of celebrating remotely, we invite you to contribute your memories of the TCC over the years through a survey - what have you learned? How has it impacted you?

Because it is a Blackboard survey, you can be creative. Share a video, an audio, some photos, a written reflection. We welcome it all.

Please log on to the Teaching and Creativity Center's Blackboard organization and find the survey on the left menu: "TCC's 20th Anniversary Celebration - Submit a Survey"

Many thanks!
