Property Control During Remote Working

As we continue to develop strategies to manage the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, access to MCC campuses and sites remain restricted to protect your health and safety and that of others.

As remote working continues, some colleagues have requested approval to purchase and/or retrieve additional equipment from MCC campuses/sites to use in their home offices. The approval of an MCC vice president or President's Staff representative is required prior to purchasing items or coming to campus to retrieve items for use at home.

It is each employee's responsibility to return those items to campus when it is safe to do so or when they return to work.

Each employee who is using or plans to use MCC-owned electronic equipment that is tagged will be responsible for bringing that piece of equipment back to campus when the annual inventory is conducted and when it is safe to return to campus. As in previous years, Travis Regan (Property Control) will lead MCC's annual property review at a date and time to be determined. Again, the approval of a vice president or President's Staff representative is required prior to coming to campus to retrieve College-owned items.

Removal of items that are not traditionally tagged and consideration of any requests to accommodate an individual's special or medical needs must also have the approval of their vice president or President's Staff representative.

It is our goal to support you in this new remote working environment, while ensuring that the College will be able to resume normal operations when circumstances allow for our return.

Thank you for your cooperation.
