Fake Phone Calls from Extension 1000

Technology Services received numerous inquires about phone calls that appeared to be coming from the on campus phone number x1000. Much like SPAM E-mail, and phishing attacks bad actors will try to gather information from calls with fake Caller ID information. Tuesday we were able to put filters in place to prevent the x1000 nuisance calls. As always if you see something suspicious delete it or report it to the Help Desk.
