On May 21st, the Transitional Studies Department hosted reading professors from eight colleges and universities across western New York for the first annual reading symposium. The event, "MCC Reading Symposium: A Discussion of Theory, Practice, and Experience" was organized by Transitional Studies faculty with the support of Dean Carol Adams. Over thirty participants examined best practices and current research of developmental, college-level, and critical thinking across the disciplines.
