MCC Scholars Program - Continuing To Inspire The Way Forward "From the Inside Out"

Since 2019, MCC has partnered with the University of Rochester’s (U of R's) Warner School of Education to offer MCC full-time employees an opportunity to apply for the Accelerated Doctorate in Education (EdD).  The program has received great reviews from participants, and U of R faculty identify MCC scholars as some of the best students with whom they have worked.

As we enter into the fourth cohort of the MCC Scholars program, we are happy to share that the persistence rate of MCC scholars remains at 100%; that includes expanding participation to employees who are in grant programs for the first time in spring 2022. Please note that eligibility is limited to those with a minimum of three years of continuous service at MCC and five or more years of work experience to remain consistent with requirements established previously. For a complete understanding of eligibility, please click the link for the MCC Scholars Program.

The Warner School of Education will be hosting two zoom sessions to talk about program expectations and to answer questions. The two dates are as follows:

We hope that by expanding eligibility for the MCC Scholars, we will continue to support leaders who will assist MCC in building the future of higher education for community colleges and beyond.  If you have any questions regarding the MCC Scholars Program, please contact Dr.  Calvin Gantt, VP Diversity, Equity and Belonging and Executive Director Downtown Campus via email atcgantt@monroecc.edu or phone at (585) 292-2122.
