I am pleased to announce that Elizabeth Baxter has accepted the position as Title III Project Director. Elizabeth holds an MS from Roberts Wesleyan College in Strategic Leadership and Management, a BS from SUNY Brockport in Sociology, and a Certificate from Heister Mediation, Upstate Mediation Center.

In the late 1990s, Elizabeth began her career helping others by supporting at risk children and teens in the city of Rochester. Over the last nineteen years at MCC, Elizabeth has held various positions at MCC including: Academic Advisor, Resources Specialist for the Gates Foundation Gateway to College Grant program, Enrollment and Retention Specialist, Coordinator of the Undeclared Program, and most recently Interim Assistant Director serving as a project manager for initiatives to increase enrollment and retention. She is also an Adjunct Professor for the ESOL/TRS department.

Elizabeth's commitment to MCC is seen in her participation on many college wide teams including the Middle States reviews, on Faculty Senate where she served multiple terms on various committees. Her experiences at MCC include working in and with cross-divisional teams creating student support systems through the strategic use of technologies, career development theories, advisement theories, and leadership expertise. She also brings to the role administrative experiences including budget development and management, employee supervision, project management, data management, data-driven decision-making, and creative problem solving.
