Bylaw Revision

Faculty Senate is proposing changes to its bylaws. In keeping with the procedures outlined in the current bylaws, the Nominations, Elections, and Governance (NEG) Committee of the Faculty Senate will host two open forums:

  • May 8 from 12 - 12:50 p.m. in 03-116 at the Brighton Campus
  • May 1 from 12 - 1 p.m. in Room 311 D at the Downtown Campus

Attached to this document you will find the rationale for the changes, the document highlighting the proposed changes, and a clean copy.

Voting on this proposal is expected to commence on Monday, May 13, 2019. Eligible voters will receive electronic ballots via email, and will have 10 working days to cast their votes. Any proposed changes to the Bylaws requires two-thirds approval of those voting. We seek strong engagement from the faculty on this matter.

Questions about any of the appended documents, or on the process followed that generated the proposal, can be directed to Eraj Basnayake, NEG chair (ebasnayake@monroecc.edu).
