Méndez Rizzo at National NACEP Conference

Mary Méndez Rizzo, Dual Enrollment Coordinator, was a featured panelist in two presentation sessions at the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) conference last week in San Antonio, Texas.

The first panel was part of a three-hour intensive workshop for Concurrent Enrollment programs that have built a foundation of their program and are looking to move it to the next level. The panel titled "Taking a Hard Look" focused on program improvement, sharing best practices, and the effects of accreditation. On the second panel titled "Guided Pathways: Providing Direction from High School to College Completion", Mary shared insights on the implementation of guided pathways from the perspective of Dual Enrollment.

At the conference, Mary was introduced to the NACEP membership as one of three newly appointed commissioners for the NACEP Accreditation Commission. In this role, Mary will oversee the work of accreditation review teams and make recommendations on programs applying for NACEP accreditations.
