Employees Needed to Participate in Voluntary Pooled Testing

Thanks to a college-wide effort led by MCC Health Services and Public Safety departments, mandatory COVID-19 pooled testing for students is underway. We appreciate your support as our students adjust to this new SUNY requirement. Increased testing will help us reduce exposure to the virus, prevent outbreaks, and keep MCC campuses accessible this fall.

In order to satisfy SUNY's required weekly testing of 50 percent of individuals on campus, employees are who are assigned to teach/work on campus are also encouraged to participate in pooled testing. Participation is voluntary for employees; it is not mandatory. Tests are processed in partnership with SUNY Upstate Medical University.

Starting on Wednesday, October 7 between 9-10 a.m.*, employees who are assigned to teach/work on campus are welcomed to participate. To keep campus density low, time slots will be assigned to each participant. Contact Chuck DiSalvo, MCC Public Safety, via email at cdisalvo@monroecc.edu for instructions and to schedule a time. More information about the pooled testing process, including how to register and prepare, is available online.

MCC is responsible for expenses related to SUNY-mandated COVID-19 testing. Students and employees are not charged for these services.

MCC's Pooled Testing Center is located in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center (Monroe A & B). Please don't forget to complete our daily online self-assessment prior to coming to campus. Enter the campus through the main entrance checkpoint located at the first (ground) floor of the Spina Administration Building.

Thank you for considering this additional opportunity to keep each other and our students healthy and safe.
