Trelawney McKnight, advisor, Student Services Center at DCC, recently presented at the McNair Conference at the University of Maryland. Trelawney is a McNair Scholar, currently majoring in sociology at SUNY Brockport. Her presentation and ongoing research examine “The Inequalities of Urban Education: The desegregation and re-segregation of American schools.” Trelawney looks forward to graduating from Brockport in Spring 2011 and is already making plans to begin master’s degree studies in Higher Education/College Counseling in the fall of 2011. At DCC, Trelawney provides academic advising and also helps to coordinate our Women on the Move program.
