Did you know that March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

Below are 5 useful facts about colon cancer.  Also attached is an educational brochure and handout for colorectal cancer screenings.

  1. 1 in 20 people develops colon cancer in their lifetime
  2. Colon cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths among U.S. adults
  3. Colon cancer can often be prevented through regular screenings
  4. A colonoscopy is the most thorough test and is proven to detect disease
  5. Screening is recommended for adults ages 50-75
