MCC basketball player Michelle Peebles and hockey player Ryan Ford were named the MCC Athletes of the Week.
Peebles, a freshman, averaged 18.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 5.3 blocks as the MCC women's basketball team won three games in three days last week. Peebles had a triple-double against Niagara CCC with 30 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 blocks. She then added 16 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks against Jamestown and 10 points, six rebounds, and two blocks against Genesee. MCC has won 12 straight and is 19-5 on the season.
Ford, a sophomore forward, had a big weekend as the Tribunes picked up two victories. He had one goal and four assists in a 10-3 win over St. John Fisher Club on Saturday, and added four more assists in a 10-1 win over the RIT Club team on Sunday. For the season he has 13 goals and 21 assists.
