Expanded Pooled Testing Hours Begin Today

Since August 9, no positive cases of COVID-19 were identified through pooled testing. (One individual did test positive with another provider; that individual did not come to campus.) Our on-campus positivity rate is 0.15% (SUNY COVID-19 Case Tracker).

Please continue to stay vigilant to protect yourself and those around you. We strongly encourage you to get vaccinated before the start of classes next week. MCC requires students, faculty, staff, and visitors—regardless of vaccination status—to wear masks inside college buildings until further notice.

Monroe County continues as a high COVID-19 transmission zone, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID Data Tracker. Monroe County’s positivity rate is 5.32%.

Pooled Testing Sessions
This week, pooled testing sessions will be held from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. today, August 16 and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. tomorrow, August 17 in the Flynn Campus Center. (No appointment necessary.) Expanded testing hours will continue until further notice as follows:

  • Mondays: 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesdays: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

MCC employees who submit their vaccine verification form to and receive approval from Human Resources are not required to participate in weekly COVID-19 testing (Click here for more information). Students are to verify that they are vaccinated with MCC Health Services.
