5K Teams Raise Support for Scholarships; Find One That is Right for You!

MCC faculty and staff are leading teams, in-person and virtually, for the 15th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships and raising funds to support scholarships at the College on Homecoming day, Saturday, October 2.  Please consider joining or supporting one of the teams listed below or any one of the many teams found on the 5K website.

  • The CIS Flash is seeking donations to support the Computer Information Systems Scholarship at MCC.
  • The Experiential Learning Scholarship team has joined forces with the Retirees Unlimited team to raise funds in memory of Bill Sigismond to support of students who want to engage in hands-on experiences that complement classroom learning.  
  • Funds raised by the Lap for Linda team are directed to the Linda Curran ’79 Memorial Student Aide Scholarship.  Your purchase of a tutu supports the Lap for Linda team!
  • The MCC Global team is raising funds for the Don Beech ESOL Program Scholarship to support ESOL Program students.
  • Owen’s Red Racers, led by Mark Schwartz, raise funds for the Owen Schwartz Memorial Scholarship.

Online registration for in-person participation closes on September 28.  On Saturday, check-in opens at 9 a.m. the race starts at 10 a.m.  The 5K awards and scholarship drawing winners will be announced via Facebook live. Please click here to join a team or make a gift.
