Marketing Team Wins CASE Award

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) recently announced the winners of its 2019 Circle of Excellence awards.

The MCC Open Doors Student Recruitment Campaign won a Circle of Excellence Bronze Award in the Marketing/Advertising (Individual Ads/Campaigns) category. The judges commented, "The concept of opening doors was great, and the videos were catchy and memorable. We liked the use of real alumni in the ads and videos as well. They made good use of resources considering their budgeting and staffing."

The campaign included TV, radio, digital marketing, direct mail, web, and social media. Congratulations to Debra Davis, director of marketing, Janet Ekis, social media specialist, Phil Osterling, visual/design specialist, Rosanne Rivers, marketing specialist, and Craig Watkins, associate director, web and digital communications, for their work on this project.

The international awards program honors outstanding work in advancement services, alumni relations, communications, fundraising, and marketing at colleges, universities, independent schools, and affiliated nonprofits. This year, CASE received 2,856 entries for consideration in 100 categories by 611 member higher education institutions, independent schools, and nonprofits from 20 countries.
