Drumrights earn honors at American Rose Society rose show

Patti Drumright (Adjunct Professor, English) and Bill Drumright (Associate Professor, History) earned four awards at the ARS New York District Convention and Rose Show, held September 6-8 at the RIT Inn and Conference Center.

During the September 7 judging and exhibition, the Drumrights won two first-place honors (for large rose displayed in picture frame and for a single-stem rose--Pink Peace category); one second place (large rose displayed in a bowl--Crown Princess Margareta variety) and one honorable mention (single-stem rose--Tournament of Roses variety).

The Greater Rochester Rose Society, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, hosted the event. In keeping with the conference's theme of sustainability, MCC served as one of the sponsors by providing reusable MCC tote bags for all of the entrants.
