Does your academic department have a new course(s) and/or new program that you would like to offer students beginning fall semester 2013?
Has the department considered removing a course or program from the current Catalog because you have not offered the course on the master schedule for several semesters, or has program demand changed?
Is the department in the process of considering changes to a course or program, such as: title, description, number, prerequisite, program requirements, etc.?
If your answer to any of the questions posed is “yes”, then please use the timeline below to guide the development and submission of curriculum proposals to the Curriculum Office for review and approval by the Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee, Faculty Senate, when appropriate, and the Provost and Vice President Academic Services. Major program revisions and new programs require external review and approval by SUNY and program registration by the New York State Education Department. December 1st Proposal Submission Timeline:
Course Revisions: prerequisites, credit hours, faculty contact hours, SUNY GER, title, description,
Course Deactivations: If a course has not been offered the past two academic years and will not be added to the Master Schedule for Fall or Spring 2013, then please deactivate the course for removal from the Catalog.
Program Revisions: program requirements, program electives, credit hours, title, description.
